Holy Carabao Holistic Farm Balik Bukid 2012
My wife and kids have visited Holy Carabao before with their classmates, as part of their school activity. Heard a lot of good things about Holy Carabao from my wife and kids. How they had fun interacting with the animals, using their facilities or just taking a break and having a picnic. Wish I was there with them to share their experiences, unfortunately commitments at work got in the way. Good thing they held a Balik Bukid (Country Fair) last Nov. 17 from, 8 am-6 pm. A pleasant relief, as I understand you had to make appointments first before you could visit the farm. Easiest way to visit Holy Carabao is to Exit Cabuyao from SLEX (when your exiting going south, make a right turn after the Exit and if your exiting going north, you need to make a left turn after the exit. Enter the Sta. Elena Village Gate, you can either follow the sign's going to the farm or you could ask the Security personnel's and staff whom are more than happy to help you. Since We were morning persons, We decided to come early to avoid the rush and heat of the sun.Friday, October 19, 2012

Paradizoo Theme Farm
Paradizoo Theme Farm which is the 2nd half of voucher We've got from MetroDeal is just about a 15 minute drive by car from Residence Inn Zoo. But don't worry as there are shuttle buses that take visitors from to and from Residence Inn Zoo and Paradizoo Theme Farm. Paradizoo Theme Farm is a 7 hectare farm which has farm animals which you can feed, an organic garden, a butterfly garden, and a honey bee farm among others. There is also an infinity pond where you could go fishing. Unfortunately, the fish were still too small during our visit, so We weren't allowed to go fishing. You can buy eggs, vegetables, crops, and honey which are organically farmed and harvested at the Zoo. The Staff are friendly and are willing to walk you through the various attractions or answer whatever inquiries you may have. Overall, the Paradizoo Theme Farm is a fun learning experience.

Manila Ocean Park Now Open
At long last Manila Ocean Park is now open to the public. Located behind Quirino Grandstand Luneta Park, Manila, Philippines, Manila Ocean Park is the first Marine theme park in the country. Similar to Singapore and Hongkongs' own Ocean Parks, Manila Ocean Park is home to a variety of marine animals and plants, less the dolphin shows of course.
Enter the lobby of the Oceanarium and be greeted by a series of LCD displays showing the wonders of the deep.
Welcome to Agos (Flow), the start of the exhibit. A virtual rain forest that shows the natural flow of water from land to sea. Interact with starfishes and sea cucumbers. Please be careful, try not to squish them or take them out of the water...
Bahura (Reef), showcases unique coral formations, plants, and animals that can be found in the Philippine coral reefs. Please turn-off your cameras flash at this point, as it disturbs the animals.
Laot (Fishing grounds), see a variety of fishes that can be found in deeper waters. Experience the feeling of diving under water inside a sunken ship and imagine seeing the different types of fishes at this depth.
Take a break, have your picture take with one of the mascots. Say cheese...
Ang Kalaliman (The Deep), see how schooling fish work in groups. Experience close-up how sharks and string rays move and react to their environment.
Multi-media Facility, though it seems to be still under construction kids get a blast of this projector that displays trivia, different shapes, colors, and figures on to the floor. At the moment there are still a lot people going here, I suggest you visit it at a much later date, so you could savor the experience and see the completion of Ocean Park Manilas other facilities.
