My wife and kids have visited Holy Carabao before with their classmates, as part of their school activity. Heard a lot of good things about Holy Carabao from my wife and kids. How they had fun interacting with the animals, using their facilities or just taking a break and having a picnic. Wish I was there with them to share their experiences, unfortunately commitments at work got in the way. Good thing they held a Balik Bukid (Country Fair) last Nov. 17 from, 8 am-6 pm. A pleasant relief, as I understand you had to make appointments first before you could visit the farm. Easiest way to visit Holy Carabao is to Exit Cabuyao from SLEX (when your exiting going south, make a right turn after the Exit and if your exiting going north, you need to make a left turn after the exit. Enter the Sta. Elena Village Gate, you can either follow the sign's going to the farm or you could ask the Security personnel's and staff whom are more than happy to help you. Since We were morning persons, We decided to come early to avoid the rush and heat of the sun.
Entrance for this event is relative free, however, you have to pay Php 350 per person (Adult and Kids) to use their facilities. Plus you get a free bracelet as souvenirs. Entrance on regular days is Php 300 per person, irregardless if you are going to use their facilities or not.
Fish all you want, although, the experience could be quite tricky and challenging. You get to experience fishing old school with bamboo fishing poles and worms for live bait. Don't worry, their accommodating staff are more than happy to assist you in placing the bait. I'm not sure though what to do when you you actually catch a fish, as We have yet to catch one.
Knock yourselves out and feed the rabbits and hamsters all you want...
Have fun in their sandbox...
Jump around and reach for the skies in a trampoline...
Play in the back of a huge truck or take a picture with your friends. Don't worry it's relatively safe. This bad boy's not going anywhere...
Go horse back riding all you want...
Or ride a cart being pulled by a Carabao...
You can also go on a Bike Trail...
Dare to be a little bit more adventurous and go on a make shift zip line made from bamboo, ropes, cables, and harnesses. It's relatively safe and staff are more than happy to assist you. If a 2 year old can do it. So can you...
Cool down, take a break and enjoy a selection of organic foods and products while watching their free programs and show.
Was really tired after a long day, but was totally worth it. My kids had a blast and enjoyed their visit to Holy Carabao. Come to think of it, there was really nothing special about the things you could see at Holy Carabao, but the very accommodating staff and welcoming staff made the experience extremely special. You can leave your kids to enjoy the facilities and you can be sure that their staff will be taking good care of them. Kudos to the management for instilling such good customer service skills to their personnel's. Looking forward to their next Balik Bukid Event and will definitely come back soon.
