Museo Pambata

For years I've passed-by Museo Pambata but haven't really gotten a chance to take  a look inside.  Museo Pambata is right along Roxas Blvd. near The US Embassy.  For just Php 100 a person, you can get to visit the museum, see their exhibits and learn while having fun.  For an establishment that been here for a couple of years now, it's nice to see that the displays and exhibits have been relatively well maintained considering the physical abuse the displays get from curious kids and naugthy visitors.  The air con inside the museum was surprisingly cold , a welcomed relief from the hot weather outside. Museo Pambata schedules presentations and events that help teach your kids about the Filipino Culture and children's advocacy's.  They also have a Library where your kids can listen to Story Telling Sessions, read books or watch educational tapes to stimulate your child's imagination and curiosity through reading books.

Visit The Maynila Noon/Old Manila Exhibit and get a taste of history. See pictures of what Manila used to look like compared to what We know Manila is Today...

Take a look a replica of a Galleon Ship used during the Spanish Era which was used to carry spices and other products for trading...

Marvel at a replica of the Binondo Church. You can actually open the door and go inside to view what's supposed to be a replica of Binondo Church's altar...

I this might be the only place the kids of this generation will get to see or touch on of these bad boys...

Visit the Kalikasan/Environment Exhibit and see a replica of a rain forest.  Your kids can learn about how they can save the environment while having fun.

Get silly and dress-up like some of the creatures of the deep.

I Love My Planet Earth Exhibit will teach you about climate change and other environmental issues and what you can do to save it.

A moon rock on loan from the US Government...

My Body Works!/Katawan Ko Exhibit showcases the different parts of the body. How they work and how We could better take care of them.

See what it feels like being inside your intestines...

Marketplace/Pamilihang Bayan Exhibit.  Let your child experience running a shop for a day and see what life is inside a marketplace.

Options/Paglaki Ko Exhibit.  This exhibit currently shows the life of a children's book writer and illustrator.  Get a glimpse of their lives and be inspired to take-up one of these noble professions.

Close-out the day by hanging-out or running around their play ground.

Surprisingly, I had a wonderful time with the family.  The Php 100 was definitely a steal.  We'll drop-by again to catch a story telling session or whenever were in the area.
