Alabang Town Center Activity Center Play Area

Whenever your passing through Alabang Town Center with your kids, you could always take them to Alabang Town Centers Activity Center Play area where they could play with the slides and climb the bars. Your kids get to interact with other children and make new friends. There is a small fountain in the area, where kids go and play with the water. Kids have this strong fascination with water. The fountain looks even more beautiful at night as it is illuminated with lights of different colors. Use of the facility is free and you get to rest on the benches near the play area while your kids go around and play. Talk to other parents while you wait and make new acquaintances. You could also take you snack on the benches to keep your kids preoccupied as to take your much needed break.

Cafe Mary Grace Greenbelt 2

Had a chance to be invited to a birthday party at Cafe Mary Grace Greenbelt 2 last month. The place wasn't really that big not enough for a large crowd, just enough for an intimate celebration with family & close friends. Cafe Mary Grace had 2 floors, so you could either rent the whole place or book the whole 2nd floor. The food was great as expected. What caught my attention is how Cafe Mary Grace was set-up. It has a cozy and warm feeling inside. This made the place very nice for family and friends to meet, enjoy nice food, and a good conversation. We were so impressed by the decor and arrangement that I even told my wife that if we were going to remodel our house, I wanted it to look and feel as cozy as Cafe Mary Grace. They even have a kids play area. unlike most play areas, theirs had a sort of fairy tale theme to it. Loaded with books and educational toys you could leave your child there while enjoying the food and conversation. Had a great time at Cafe Mary Grace, we'll definitely visit again.

Splash Island Water park Philippines

April 2011

Located at Southwoods Ecocentrum in Biñan, Laguna. Splash Island is the largest water theme park in the country. Now managed by Global Gutz, Splash Island has been revived and given a new and fresh look, with lots of new attractions and promos for groups and families. Promotions like discounted rates inclusive of lunch package is a sure draw for families and barkadas looking to beat the summer heat.  Events and activities are also scheduled at Splash Island as added attractions.  Splash Island is just a few minutes from Southwoods exit. Location is very strategic and accesible for vacationers coming from both the south and metro manila.

Splash Island is mostly composed of different kinds of water slides and activities.  However, new attractions and family activities have also been added.  Souvenier Shops, Henna tatoo booth, wall climbing, zip line, and a paint ball area has been added to the list of attractions.

The wave pool is one of Splash Islands most popular attraction.  Inflatables have been added to the pool so guests can have other alternative activities besides just soaking on the pool.

The Water Wahoo is supposed to be a kiddie pool area.  But then again, I may be wrong, as the numerous springklers around the area becomes an irresistable draw for the young and the young at heart.

A Wall Climbing and Zip Line area provides guests to enjoy other fun activities outside the water.

Magellans Cross, Cebu City

January 2011

Magellan's Cross is located inside a chapel just outside of the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño, just in front of the City Hall of Cebu. Magellan's Cross is a Christian cross planted by Portuguese, and Spanish explorers as ordered by Ferdinand Magellan upon arriving in Cebu in the Philippines on April 8, 1521.

An inscription below the cross describes that the original cross is encased inside the wooden cross that is found in the center of the chapel. Magellan's Cross is a symbol of Cebu.It is also seen as the symbol of Roman Catholicism in the Philippines.

The chapel is normally open to the public for viewing during regular days. However, it was closed during our visit since this was during the Sinulog Festival to preserve the cleanliness and integrity of the Cross.
