For years I've passed-by Museo Pambata but haven't really gotten a chance to take a look inside. Museo Pambata is right along Roxas Blvd. near The US Embassy. For just Php 100 a person, you can get to visit the museum, see their exhibits and learn while having fun. For an establishment that been here for a couple of years now, it's nice to see that the displays and exhibits have been relatively well maintained considering the physical abuse the displays get from curious kids and naugthy visitors. The air con inside the museum was surprisingly cold , a welcomed relief from the hot weather outside. Museo Pambata schedules presentations and events that help teach your kids about the Filipino Culture and children's advocacy's. They also have a Library where your kids can listen to Story Telling Sessions, read books or watch educational tapes to stimulate your child's imagination and curiosity through reading books.

Pig Out Nuvali Santa Rosa City
We decided to take a leisurely drive to Sta. Rosa after going to church. Passed by Nuvali and decided to take a look. Nuvali in Sta. Rosa was supposed to be designed as a eco friendly community. Nuvali is huge and houses approximately 4 subdivisions. Nuvali is an ideal place for people who want to experience nature and is not far from the city. They have a man made lake where you can take a boat ride or feed the fishes. Your can also go ride a bike or enjoy their newly opened wake boarding facility.

Jamba Juice Alabang Town Center
Since We were already at Alabang Town Center, We've decided to might as well try Jamba Juice after eating lunch at Bon Chon Chicken. Jamba Juice, is located in the newly renovated side of Alabang Town Center facing Commerce Avenue, just beside Crispy Kreme.

Bon Chon Chicken Alabang Town Center
Finally, got to try Bon Chon Chicken at Alabang Town Center which is located at the ground floor of the newly renovated wing of Alabang Town Center. Arrived at Alabang Town Center around 11 am just in time for mall opening hours a couple of weeks ago and decided to eat lunch at Bon Chon Chicken. We were so early, that We were just the 2nd group of customers to walk into the restaurant. But still, it was surprising to see that they were already preparing orders for delivery. We were not really that hungry as it was still early and We ate our breakfast late, so We asked the lady at the cashier what their best seller was. She recommended that We try their Thigh Ricebox meal w/c comes with your choice of regular soda or Iced Tea. We order a 1 pc. Soy Garlic Thigh Ricebox for Php 95, since We were not really fans of spicy foods. We also tried their Fish & Chips Box for Php 145 and a Blueberry Torte (Korean Yogurt) for dessert worth Php 70. They even serve alcoholic beverages in their menu and I guess the Spicy Chicken works well with beer. The place seemed small, probably fits around 15-20 tables. It amazed me to see that the place was already filled-up, by the time We got our orders.

The Mind Museum at Taguig
Had a chance last Friday
to join my sons educational trip at The Mind Museum in Taguig along with his
CFA schoolmates. Was really looking
forward to this day and almost didn’t make it due to commitments at work, as it
was the first time We would be visiting The Mind Museum. Originally, only my son and I would be
joining the activity as my other 2 kids (aged 2 and 2 months) were still too young to enjoy the exhibits and besides the entrance fee was too expensive. However,
at the last minute my wife decided to bring the entire family. We got a
discount for the tickets for the school activity, as We only paid for Php 600
for 1 child (Php 450) and a teacher (Php 150), since CFA was a home school. We
needed 3 more tickets 2 for my wife and her sister and 1 for our little girl, who
too tall to pass below 2 ft. The regular
ticket for adults is Php 600 and Php 450 for kids, so this meant that We’d have
to pay an additional Php 1650 for the tickets. Good thing there was a promo for
Student Price for All Ages during Tuesdays-Fridays. However, there is a small catch to the
discount. You have to shoot on the spot
a 20 second video telling them what you would like to invent and why? Seems simple enough, so I gave it a shot and
got a Php 150 discount for each adult ticket. So instead of paying Php 1650 for
the additional tickets, We just paid Php 1350. Not bad, if I may say so myself.

Manila Ocean Park Discount Package
This is the 3rd time We've visited Manila Ocean Park since it formally opened a couple of years ago. A lot of new attractions have been added aside from a variety of programs and shows where the whole family can watch and enjoy. Come to think of it, you can actually spend an entire day at Manila Ocean Park if you'd be going to every attraction and watching the different shows, as they are spread at specific showing times throughout the day. However, since We brought our 2 kids aged 5 and 2 with us , We decide to skip the shows due to their short attention spans.

Mercato Centrale @ Bonifacio Global City
Since my wife and I were at St. Luke's Global City for a doctor's appointment last Saturday, We decided to drop by Mercato Centrale for lunch. We've heard about Mercato Centrale at Bonifacio Global City from a segment We saw on T.V. Ever the food lover's, We love going out in search of great tasting food with friends, family, and loved-one's. Mercato Centrale was only about two blocks away from St. Luke's Global City. We decided to take a casual walk to Mercato Centrale and arrived there a little past 12 P.M. Since they were open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. last Saturday, We only got to sample a selection of grilled items, organic fruits, and a selection of fruit drinks. Never-the-less, We had a hearty meal and great conversation. We'll Definitely go back for more.

Kidzville Party @ The Podium
My kids got invited to an animal costume party at
Kidzville located at the 4th flr. of the Podium. The kids were so excited, as this was the
first time they attended a costume party.
Kidzville is actually managed by Cosmic Kidz, the same one located in SM
MOA. If you've ever attended a birthday
party at Cosmic Kidz @ SM MOA the set-up and it just happened that the Emcee
was the same person who hosted the party We attended about a year ago. The party area was very spacious, the food
was good enough with ample portions, the loot bags were nice, my kids had a
great time and you get unlimited playtime in their playmaze and Kids Town with
various themes. Was very tired after the
party but had a blast with my kids. My
son wouldn't have won the best costume contest for boys, if We didn't
attend. Thanks a lot for our friends who
invited us to attend their son's 1st Birthday Party @ Kidzville.

Sicily, Festival Mall, Alabang
Checked-out this newly opened restaurant at Festival Mall, Alabang called Sicily. Ever the Pizza and Pasta lover, We decided to sample their menu. The ambiance was simple, yet had a homey feel to it. The place was painted mostly white with a touch of green accents, which was nice since you could see the cleanliness of the place and could immediately see any dirt that could accumulate on it's immaculate white tables and walls. The tables and chairs where surprisingly comfortable to sit-on and enjoy your meal with family and friends.

Slice n Dice SM Sta. Rosa Laguna
Went to SM Sta. Rosa a couple of weeks back to get out of the house and do a little bit of strolling. Since it was already lunch time, We decided to take a break and eat lunch. With a lot of food establishments at our disposal, We decided to be a little bit more adventurous and try something new. At first glance Slice n Dice immediately called our attention, not just because of its colorful facade but also because of the prices on their menu. For Php 99 or less, you could already enjoy a complete meal inclusive of rice and drink. We ordered a T-bone steak Jr. w/ Pasta meal and a Cheezy Garlic Mussel meal all for less than Php 300. Not bad for a meal good for 2-3 persons. Slice n Dice is the local version of servicing fast food style steaks ordered through a counter with a touch of local flavors.

Flavours of China SM Sta. Rosa
Went to SM Sta. Rosa last Jan. 3 to have lunch with the family, to celebrate our 8th Wedding anniversary. We were supposed to go to Barrio Fiesta inside SM Sta. Rosa for lunch, as We found a voucher from Metro Deal for a Paella Meal w/ chicken and coke (good for 4 persons) at Php 450. However, according to the staff on duty, the voucher is still not active on their computer database until Jan 5, 2012. Something that was not clearly stated on the voucher. Instead of arguing our case and spoiling our day, We just decided to look for another place to eat. Good thing Flavours of China was near Barrio Fiesta. We decided to good there for lunch. After all, you just can't get enough of Chinese food.
